I had that stupid ring thing and ditched it …..I use 70-72 setup using wing nuts I bought the parts used and welded them to the air cleaner base pic #1 (mounting tabs ) and then to the shaker base ring pic #2 ( attaching studs. ) I got them from a member here who had a damaged shaker setup so he cut them off for me….
