There were 2 types of seat belts used in 79 TA's. I've circled the 2 types in the drawing below. Notice the shapes of the blades are different and have differently shaped holes in them, so you can't use a type 1 buckle with a type 2 blade, or vice versa. You have to determine which type of belts you have and get that type of female buckle, because it has to match the male blade you have.
