It's kind of a weird deal ... the latest file, which is tailored to ELarson's car specifically should fit INTO any dash, as the corner radius is larger, which leaves more room for variance between vehicles. But on a car with sharp original shaped corners it might leave a very small gap in those corners.
The file/design prior to that traced an OEM radio bezel, which had tighter radius, sharper lower corners ... which would ONLY fit into vehicles with very little warping, shrinking of the dash.
So the file as posted should fit most any 71-77 Firebird, the previous file might only fit 71-77 birds with a "perfect" dash in that area.
Same here, I'd love to see one printed out and tested in another vehicle.
Strangely ... I was under the misapprehension that everyone and their brother had a 3d printer because I spent so much time learning about them. Kind of a like a politician that spends too much time in DC losing touch with his constituents
