Kenth,

Thank you for all of the information you have given me on vacuum advance and the TVS system. Also a thank you to OG68 for the diagram on the TVS setup. After reading through all the information you sent me on vacuum advance and the TVS I am currently leaning to not putting it on my GTO. I do have the proper plug with the 3 hose harness that plugs into the TVS (the one with the 2 top ports blocked off). I currently have the vacuum advance from the distributor going to a port on the lower left hand side of the base on the carb which is a Holley 750 with vacuum secondaries. I believe this port is straight manifold vacuum but I need to find out for sure. Is the way to find out is hook up a vacuum gauge to that port when the car is warmed up and at curb idle and see if it draws 12-15" Hg. Also I could hook up a timing light with the vacuum advance hooked up and see if it is reading 25-30 degrees advanced, pull off the vacuum advance and see if it reads 9-12 degrees BTDC.
