Those numbers come from Comp Cams and are your installation instructions.
230 / 2 = 115 - 6 = 109 ICL
Once the ICL is set so is the ECL so why check it?
236 / 2 = 118 - (-1) = 119 ECL
How else can you see what the LSA of your cam is and that it is correct?
109 + 119 = 228 / 2 = 114 LSA
