I had the same issue with my SS sending unit from Auto City Classics. I had to bend the wire float arm down a bit to adjust the float level in the tank to read correctly. Mine read 3/4 of a tank when full on initial install. Other than that, I’ve had no other issues. I have a the reproduction 1966 tank and straps from ACC as well.
