Not all parts are created equal, but after all the years of problems that BMW experienced with using composite impellers in water pumps, I personally would steer clear of any water pump that doesn't use a metal impeller. The composite impellers can crack and sheer off from the shaft, leaving you without coolant flow and an engine that's going to overheat. It was a major debacle for BMW, which is the other automotive universe I'm involved with. This is of course a different design, but composites become brittle with age and heat. Given this is an $84 product presumably manufactured in China, one has to wonder how it will hold up. Time will tell.
