Bought a 4 way flasher kit for my 64 Lemans, was a universal kit made by Flare stat I do believe, 5 wires to hook up from what I can remember.
But upon using the flasher and stepping on brake pedal, the engine started to crank. Was feeding power back to ignition switch thru brake pedal switch.
Maybe I had some wires crossed?? No they were all the same colour, LOL. End up putting diode in the brake switch wire so it could not feed power back
into the pedal. Kinda scared me first. works good now though. Just haven't had a need to use it yet.
