The reason for the carb change was to get rid of the restrictor plate. I had a 1050 with a 1.550 restrictor plate under it. The 850 throttle plates are 1.75 and have no restrictor plate. I notice with the 850 60's and 1/8 mile is better and more consistent than the 1050 with the small restrictor plate.
Last time out 1/8 mile times varied .004 over 5 runs. I used 1/8 mile because of hitting the brakes in eliminations.

Figured it can't have any more vacuum than the 1050 with the restrictor plate at wide open.
