My engine guy is gently nudging me to leave the oil pump drive 'as-is', and put the cam pickup in the custom timing cover he is fabbing to cover the BOP belt drive. Mount the magnet on the cam sprocked and the pickup in the cover. Would be easier and cost far less. Im about convinced to let him go that way. He's been right about everything else so far.
