Default Frankenmuth MI in November

Daughter booked a 5 bedroom house the weekend before your Thanksgiving in Frankenmuth then convinced the family to tag along, so after some sole searching my wife and I agreed to go along with in-laws, my daughter and son-in-law, 2 grand-daughters under 4, my son and other daughter (adults).

Its supposed to be a really neat spot for Christmas and Food and Shopping. Any advice on what are must see and do's? What to avoid? What can we expect? Any suggestions will be appreciated.

We will be driving from Toronto and crossing on Bluewater Bridge, We hold NEXUS cards, is there a NEXUS lane on the bridge going into and exiting USA ? Haven't decided which vehicle to take yet but both are Genesis AWD, a G80 and GV70, winter tires going on October 15 so we will be comfortable and ready for any snow conditions on that 4.5 hour trip.

1. Chicken dinner at the Bavarian Inn

2. Shopping at the outlet mall in Birch Run

3. Head down to Dearborn to the Henry Ford Museum/Greenfield Village. Tour the Ford Rouge Assembly plant as part of your visit.
https://www.thehenryford.org/visit/plan-your-visit/

4. Head down to Pontiac and make a pass up and down Woodward Ave.

5. Visit the Piquette Plant (birthplace of the Ford Model T)

My recollection is that we haven't had any snow in November for these last couple years, but I would expect the weather in Toronto to be similar to the weather in mid Michigan - just a day later.

If those are too far, head down to Flint (birthplace of GM):

1. Sloan Museum and/or Longway Planetarium
https://sloanlongway.org/sloan/

2. Flint Factory 1

See a lighthouse, or some Thomas Edison stuff, as you are passing through Port Huron:

The only one I slightly disagree with is Birch Run outlet. Maybe I was just disappointed because I have been spoiled by good outlet malls, but it wasn't really anything to write home about. It has been 3 years since I have been there and it might have gotten better.

Frankenmuth has a lot of surprising good local shops as well. And decent fireworks that time of year.
