It's 1.250 thick ,I'm not sure if it's a Herb Adam's design .Maybe someone can I.D. it

Not a Herb VSE front bar. VSE 2nd Gen front bar measures 1 5/16" diameter, & has a hole towards the end where each good sized Heim joint bolts.

Installed VSE bars & Koni shocks on my '80 over 40 years ago. A few months after my own install, I helped a fellow up the street with several suspension issues on his '78 Z28. Dustin had bought a RANCHO front bar. They used an odd clamp on type end link. Not near as robust looking as the large Heim joints the bolted to the ends of the VSE front bars. The RANCHO front bars were avail powdercoated in red or black, believe that is what you are looking at.

I second its a Rancho i bought one out of pick a part for $6.00 in the 80's want to say mine still had a sticker on it

the bracket on the lower end bolts down to where the stock link goes and then you drill a hole in the side of the A arm for the second attach

use grade 8 bolts and nylock nuts everywhere to keep from losing hardware from vibrations

And the bar is somewhat adjustable by two available lower link holes and moveing the upper clamp on the bar
