Default Lost Brake and Turn Lights ‘66 GTO

Brake and turns stopped working the other day while driving. So far have checked fuses and tore apart column to check turn switch. All other lights/ electrical is working fine. Is there somewhere else I should be looking? Like stated, turn signals and brake lights are dead. Dash lights, headlights, park lights, interior lights all working.

Try wiggling your ignition key. This happened to me and all it was is the key was out of sync. I still have to wiggle it into the right spot to get brake and turn lights to work.

I would suspect a malfunctional turn signal switch.

Use a voltmeter or test light and check out the system.

I know you said all other lights are working, but you didn't mention the tail lights. Have you checked the flasher unit on the fuse panel?

You check the switch under the brake pedal?

Check the horseshoe connector block under the steering column. IIRC its the second wire in from the passenger side of the connector. I've had this same thing happen to me on a '65 GTO and a '66 GTO and both times, it was the bullet connector into the horseshoe shaped connector block under the column had backed out for the wire feeding the TS switch that also affects the brake lamps.
