Default hatchback vs coupe

is there a difference in the full 1/4 panels? will they interchange?

They will interchange however I am not totally sure if the area that contains the lip for the trunk are the same. Full GM quarters will have the complete trunk rail, not sure about the complete repro quarters, Worse case you'll have to skin that part off if the quarter has that rail. Hope that makes sense.

Default 74 Quarters

Original quarters for the two are different. you can you repos that come up "half way' on either but a good sheet metal guy could modify one for the other.

Rob B is correct, difference is hatch has weatherstrip rail to the top and coupe does not. I think it would be easy to convert a hatch to a non hatch quarter but adding the ws rail to the non hatch quarter would be some work.
