Why does the data sheet say SB Chevy V-8 at the top?

Oh, re-reading your ad: "Came out of a Pontiac 400 but popular for SBC"... you do know that those are completely different engines and the cams don't interchange, right?

I'm unclear why the builder ??? wrote that on the build sheet. If it was the builder?? I'll ask the seller. I suspect the seller was probably asking someone about the cam and was writing down what he was being told, that this is a common chev grind ( single pattern ) or something like that .

The sheet came with the engine in the crate, assume builder of it put it in there.

God dammit... I was just in Vancouver last week and would have grabbed this if I saw it. Good luck with the sale though!

Small block Chevy cam, not a cam that fits a traditional Pontiac engine.

Moving to Garage Sale forum……

*Ahem*. Astro Jet 427. SD396 Beaumont. And later
model Canadian Pontiacs had PMD motors, had a
Parisienne with a factory 455.

Cam pictured doesn't have an extra lobe out front.
No fuel pump eccentric? Not a Chevy bumpstick.

Okay so why the conflicting information provided, such as the Chevy cam card ?

The seller hasn’t made it clear to buyers exactly what engine family this cam fits. Questions have been asked with no concise answer. Nobody should have to study cam pictures to identify it, proper information should be provided.

So how about some clarification Kyle ?

Perhaps you should start fresh by posting a new ad with a clearer description and I can delete this one.
