Leather Wrap Wheels
There's a couple here in the D that wrap steering wheels, it's $100 cheaper going directly through them, he started restoring Buick wheels and then Pontiac Formula wheels and then Corvette, I picked up a junk Y88 wheel at a junk yard and had Camel leather put on it, it's sweet, padding a is added and together with the leather it's a slightly thicker wheel. I'll post their contact info when I get home along with a pic of the wheel. I was wondering if they could do the horn button as well. I'm looking for a crappy one at the swap and I'll inquire about the wrap on it. The hand stitch is outstanding. It's $185 to have one done. The 10th guys would love his handy work on the stock leather wheel.

Always get a Leather sample first before you have one done, I'm close to the guy, he showed me a hide to match with a trim PC I brought.

Here's the wheel, here's the wheel, it's on a Saddle and Buckskin cōnsole I sold. The quality on the leather work is nice, stitching is top notch. Other than black, I would get a leather sample from him to get the correct match.
( saddle cōnsole was from a 1975, Buckskin was from a 1976)

It does look nice in tan. I have a full leather tan interior so also considered getting mine done in tan, but then have to change the black steering column and the horn pad and find a custom tan that actually matched what I have, send leather sample over, stock black will do! Cost a small fortune with shipping back and forth but I'd do it again. Actually, now that I recall, for about the same price I bought a good core they had to trim, saved risk of losing/damaging my other wheel which is good, swap wheels for paint shop etc.
