i found some numbers stamped on the back of the block by the distributor and im not sure what they mean. the stamp is "E122". also, on my heads i have on the driver side "H032" and on the pass. side "H092". what does all this mean?

Those are the date casting codes.
The first letter is the month - A=Jan,B=Feb,etc.
Next two digits are the day,
And the last is the last number of the year,2=62 or 72.
Need more info for the correct year.

thanx for the heads up. any idea about the casting on the heads? i just noticed youre from charleston. my bro went to college there and i am originally from a small town called olivet about 25 miles north of paris. good to see a local on here!

Same methodology used to determine month/day/year that the block was cast also applies to the heads.
