kickdown switch for 65 TH400
Figured out tonight that the passing gear kickdown switch is broken on mt 65 2+2.
Are the switches available? How difficult is it to repair. Can it cause damage running the car without the switch? |

You can get a non-stock replacement switch at a speed shop.

Usually it is the plastic plunger that deteriorates. You can open up and probably make one if you are handy.
I would like to see the ones that are available as replacement. I have never found another that fits right. Littlefuse did make replacements in the 80s, but Mine has no part # and I can no longer find them. They were far superior to the original as they had a metal plunger.
