1957 Pontiac Super Chief project in Greentown, PA 18426 – 2 Door Hardtop. 1 of 15,494 made that year. Sought after version. Originally black with white side stripe and black interior. How many have you seen lately? The doors, glass, trunk and much of the weatherstrip are the same as 55-57 Chevy’s. Pontiac won Daytona in 1957 over the Chevy’s and Ford’s. The last picture shows what the car can look like when finished.
This is a modified project car. A little about the car:
• Original frame boxed for added strength
• Fat Man Fabrications Stage 2 Mustang Independent Front Suspension with 2” drop spindles and power rack and pinion steering
• Chrome Tubular A-Arms with disc brakes
• Chris Alston 4 link adjustable rear suspension with rebuilt 9” Ford POSI in 3.42 gears
• Engine mounts set up for small block chevy and Muncie 4 speed (No Motor/Trans Included)
• New Rubber Body Mounts installed
• Body is very solid, Bit of work needed at rear portion of passenger rocker panel
• Power Disc Brake and Hydraulic clutch pedal assembly in car
• New Steering column with custom wheel
• Chrome and stainless trim are all there.
• Lower Front bumper is only chrome that’s not driver quality. Great core to rechrome.
• Interior is all there, it’s dirty but could be used with a cleaning.
• All glass included except windshield. Same windshield as a 55-57 Chevy and easy to get.
• Clean Pennsylvania Title in my name
This is a project car. Car was disassembled by the previous owner. Looks like it was last on the road in 1981. Great start for someone who wants to build a 50’s hot rod with performance upgrades.
