Blast from the past - Bob's Pontiac Parts
Bob's was one of the first Pontiac parts suppliers. Anyone know what happened to this company. I believe they were based in New York. I've had this can for over 30 years - frightening thought.

Simpsonville, MD was their mailing address. Warehouse and storefront was in Pearl River, NY. Bob Antelman
I bought ‘66 GTO rear quarter patch panels from them years ago. Here’s a pic of the last catalog I got from them. 1987

I bought stuff them back when I lived on the east coast. I may even still have that same catalog stashed somewhere.

Parts were great back them, before every jamoke jumped in, parts were under $10. I still have a few 78 hood release cables, they sold GM in the bag, $7

Don’t forget Dick Duclo. Another local guy from MA. The IA1 block changed everything. He sold lots of other parts as well.

Wow, Been a long time since I've heard BOBs.
I lived in Long Branch NJ in the 80's and would call ahead then make the trip up to his old "warehouse" on the weekends. They were always cool and would let me look through all the parts. Good Times!

I never knew that about 1A automotive but have seen the intro of the guy pulling the GTO into the garage with the PMD sign hanging on the wall. Makes more sense with the history y'all provided.
Speaking of split grills, I was recently using my father's battery charger. It's a Fisk from late 60s or early 70s I think. Still works great. Look at the "generic" car they used on the front of the owner's manual. I believe somebody was thinking about Pontiacs. |

I was getting parts from The Paddock in the 80's. Still have some of those catalogs. I even have a pair of NOS '67 grill surrounds in unopened boxes that came from them.
