Default 1980 TA engine harness

Swapping the 301 out of my 80 TA for a 455. Factory engine harness is cobbled together so looking to replace with new harness.
Question for the guys that have swapped engines will the factory harness reach or since I need to replace the harness should I just go with a 1979. 400 harness?

Will the factory harness reach what? The 301 engine is in the same position and uses the same basic accessories as a 400 or 455, the harness should be the same length as other engines use.

For a new harness, I have use American Auto Wire, AAW, very good quality.
