Did 1968 use a spacer behind the engine lift loop against the timing cover?
The 67 assembly manual shows a spacer, but I do not have a 68 assembly manual to verify. Can someone with a 68 assembly manual check it out and let me know please? Thank you gto4ben for the images.

I did not know that a 68 assembly manual was not available, my bad. Guessing that 68 used a spacer too, just like 66 and 67 since the timing cover/water pump set up is virtually the same.
Anyone with an unrestored example care to help?
