Nice car but the exhaust tips seem a bit long.

Boss:
How long ago did you sell that? It looks like it was done a long time ago or the used car lot; make it pretty for resale quick.

How bad was it and did it run?

Do you know where the B177 2506 block came from? Unless he is wrong on his numbers, I never even heard of a 2506 block cast that early.

Really like the color combination and it is a RA car so it has some great things going for it!

Brian

Brian,

I owned it in 2007 - the seller on e-bay is selling the car for the current owner. I bought the car off the board here without the original drive line, found a rear and a correct block for it, but he bought it without the block I had. I think the date on the 2506 block is a typo or there is a problem there because I haven't seen one that early either and that's even earlier than the 2510 '67 blocks.

The car came out beautifully! I don't know how he can afford to sell it for that price!

Exhaust is wrong - tail pipes are 1969 - later design. 68 had full round pipes, not scalloped, and they did not have the same "turn down" as shown here. Nitpick for sure, just answering earlier comment. Beautiful car!!

Now I remember. This one was in the old RAII thread.

They should get the Rally one wheels on it!

Got any more as found or before pics? The car does look stunning. When I saw the $39,900 BIN I was also suprised it was that low for a car of this pedigree and condition. Very nice!! I have a '69 GTO that same color combo.

The date code for the block threw me off as well. I also thought it strange to have made a RA I 4 speed with no tach. Beautiful car.

The car has 69 seats, no buttons on the sides of the seats!

Guys wacko.
I'd keep the 68, 69TA, the vert, and sell all the others.

Or at least put the correct centers for 68 and trim rings. Someone spent a lot of money, but evidently took a lot of short cuts also. Makes you wonder where they took short cuts that you can't see.

For such a rare car, why would you remove the disc brakes and Rally 1's and add power steering? Who would really go from disc to drum brakes? Things just don't add up on this car?
