is that about what folks expected? i would have thought closer to 300, but i don't really know how these things go. sounded like it had a remarkable racing history.

I talked with the seller and he told me he didn't think it would reach the reserve. Then all of the sudden the reserve was off and the car sold -- he was happy.

Greg,he never said it was junk!He just said it was over priced for what it was!The Royal car went for not much diff from that,also the 61 guys that come to mind are Darrel Yoder(rest his soul) and Ed Gioma.Was told by others beside Scott,nice car but raised the bar for truly number 1 cars.Tom

I did not look at car closely , as it is out of my league, but from what I did see it appeared to be a pretty nice car.......... personally, I liked the one that was there last year... is that the "Royal" car you are referring to?

no,Ed Gioma restored the Royal car and sold it to a collector in Idaho.Tom

tom s,i suppose the 65 ragtop that scott restored over 10 years ago that sold for 285k was not OVERPRICED either.oh,im sorry,scott restored it,MUST have been worth the money.GREG

At the Mecum auction Merle Green had the 66 Knafel "Tin Indian" GTO up for bid, did it sell? if so how much? anybody know?
