I have been reading threads and there are a lot of differing opinions on heritage/pedigree.

I am not taking sides on this one, just observing it.

Tempest, Lemans, GTO all same family. OK?
I do realize the GTO branched into its own model.
But same body stampings, base frames.

Mustang, GT, Cobra, all same family. OK?
Same body/frame. (Unibody later)

Both had four, six, eight cylinder versions of platform. (Alright, it's a stretch back to a four banger Tempest )

Like Pontiac, Ford has a performance option/designation for these platforms. Granted, Ford did not offer a V-8 Mustang during gas crunch 1974. (But you could get a V-8 Maverick ) They also did not add the family nameplate to a front wheel drive car.

Now to the meat for those that are stil here.

The Mustang herritage is an unbroken one. What car can match it?

If you are thinking Corvette try to buy parts for a 1983.

The GTO was the cream of the crop in mid-sized performance.
Isn't it fitting that the best mid-sized performance car from GM has a desigination to match?

Two questions above..... without using jellybean, import or rustang explain your view.

Remember when sex was safe and Hot Rods were dangerous?
The DotRod rides again.
