Default Tire Size, I know much discussed, but need one last assurance....

I believe that I have searched and read all the posts on what size tires will fit on f a '64 Lemans. I believe that the wheels and tires I want to Order will fit due to what others have said work on theirs and the relative tire sizes, but I have not seen someone say this specific combo. I want to pull the trigger on purchase and just want to see if anyone says either, 'done it, you're good' or , 'no, that won't work'. Wheels and tires in question are US Mags Bandits with 235/45/18's up front with 8" rim with 4.5" backspace and 255/45/18's in back with 9" rim with 5.25" backspace. Rear axle has been replace with Quick Performance 9" set up to match early rear width. Brake clearance should not an issue. Thanks in advance for any input.

I have the exact 9 inch Rearend from quick Performance and I have us wheel torq thrust copies with 4.5 back space on all four corners and I am running 245/45/18 with no rubbing anywhere. I could easily fit 255 in the back with just my backspacing. May even be able to fit 255 in the front.

BB,I have been interested in the same thing for my '65 even though I'm not ready yet. Try posting this question on the Street section . There will be a lot of people with experience that can help you out.
