Default 1970 TA restoration

Just got this into the shop a 1 owner 70 TA with 73,000 original miles. Had 1 repaint about 15 years ago. I need to fix the drivers side floor pan and toe board. Then a full repaint. I'm not seeing any panel replacement but won't know until I get into it. Should be a fun project. I will be asking questions as I go through the disassembly process. Also will need to know a good parts supplier.

That does look like a 73 nose/grills. I've got a couple perfect 70-72 noses if you wanted to trade.

Hmm I'm not a TA guy just doing this car for a local neighbor. He didn't say the nose was from a 73 but I can ask. My dad said when he was younger he wasn't easy on this car. So maybe it was replaced. Any pictures I can compare the 70 to the 73?

I'm guessing from the distance the grille stands out to the nose?

I see what you guys are saying now. So can you put 73 inserts in a 70 nose? The noses look the same to me?

The 73 front bumper and grills are different than the 70-72's.....

73's had to meet a 5mph crash standard......

To do it right...you need to change both bumper and grills

That's a 73 nose. They were longer in the "beak" area, featured large egg crate grills, and had a lot of steel behind them that ties into the radiator support.

I wonder if it still have the 70 support and fenders? Do you have a pic of the engine bay?

Does the hood latch come through the driver side grill, or come out down in the lower valance?

As project bird says, post picture of top of rad support.... and where fenders meet inners....

If it's been popped in the front before, the front end may be "incorrect" 73......

Ok removed most of the interior last night and as expected will need just a drivers side floor pan and toe board. Now from what I see AMD just started reproducing the toe board but its all one piece and you cut what you need. Is there any other option? I just need the front floor pan and from my research camaro/firebird are the same from 1970-81?

These are the pictures you requested of the front grill area.

As you can see a piece of wire is being used to open the hood. He said he has the latch that is suposed to go down under the grill. Do the reproduce this lower valance or spoiler that is all cracked in the picture?

Now are you saying the front rubber grill is 73 or the complete front clip? Fenders and front grill area is 73?
