I have a 70 gto and it has a remote rear view mirror. I've been told that it is probably not stock.The car will not be restored and I want to replace the remote mirror. I need to know if the mirror is stock or perhaps an option. Where can I get another one?

Yes, the 70 remote mirror was available, I had one on my Judge and it is on my build sheet.
Mine was so pitted however that I decided not to use it. I guess I could send it out and have it plated, maybe in the future... Don  restored a 70 Judge at: http://home.rochester.rr.com/dchapman |

I have a picture of one (sort of) posted at link below. 1970 GTOs did come with a remote driver side rear view mirror as an option.

Is the mirror a Chrome style or the Sport bullet style?
I have a spare set of Sport Sytle mirrors, with the drivers being remote... They are in very good condition $75 for the pair, $10 to ship. Don restored a 70 Judge at: http://home.rochester.rr.com/dchapman |
