Default 1968 Firebird 400 Convertible

Here is your chance to own a mostly original , numbers matching, 400 4-speed. 54,100 miles. Never modified or changed from original with the following exceptions: Power steering was added and is correct for 68 firebird. A hood tach was added and original long branch H.O. manifolds were added. The rest of the exhaust system has the stock resonators and crossflow muffler with splitter tips. Very rare Nightshade green body with Ivy Gold, (green) interior. The interior is the deluxe option including console, gages, am-fm radio, rear speaker and rear antenna. Also the "wood" sport wheel has been added. I still have the original green deluxe steering wheel also. The interior also has the sport clock on the console. (not working) The engine and engine compartment are original and un-mollested. The engine has never been out of the car and the heads have not been removed. Runs and drives great and is driven in the summer to shows. Has been at Norwalk several times for the Pontiac Nationals parked with the Arnie Beswick group. Full PHS documentation and lots of original paperwork including build sheet, bill of sale, owners manual and others. 3.31 limited slip, rally II wheels, red line radial tires. Very rare, off line original "gold" convertible top. It is tan in color, but they called it gold. The rear window could use replacement, it is foggy. The boot is excellent. This was a feature car in Pontiac Enthusiast Magazine Nov. Dec. 2006. Other options, too many to list. This is an investment quality vehicle. Realistically priced at $48,500.00.
I don't know how to post a group of pictures on here so if interested, e-mail me and I will try and get some to you. mgarblik@woh.rr.com

Default Life Situations force a huge reduction in asking price

This car has really not been driven since this add was first posted although I did post a display add in Smoke Signals a few months ago. Like many of us, financial concerns, major damage and construction needed at my house and a recent accident involving my wife's car have all conspired to cause a bit of a financial crisis at home. This car was appraised at 45K not long ago, (since the economic meltdown. I had a few people respond that the asking price was too high. I am now in a loss situation. The price has been reduced to $35K. If you can find a more original, nicer 68 400 convertible 4-speed with less than 60K miles on it let me know cause I will sell my house and probably buy it! I looked for 12 years before I found this one. If interested please call: 937-545-7032.

I saw your car and spoke with you at the booth about buying your car ... 2 years ago at Norwalk. Actually it was 3 years ago. It's a shame you weren't interested then ... I loved your car and the colors in person are outstanding.

Since then I purchased an '89 Indy Pace Car TTA and it's a scream. Now I'm thinking about going back to the Darkside and replace my '65 Bonneville 421 HO Convertible that I regretfully sold.

For anyone looking ... this car is really all of what he is saying and much more.

Good luck with it!

Thank you for the kind words about the car. I really had no intention of selling the car then or now for that matter. But as the economy continues to be soft and more and more family members show up with their hands out, the situation evolves. Selling this car seems to be the least painful way out at this time. I may regret it later, but I have to keep moving forward. Keeping it in the performance Pontiac community is a goal, rather than in a private collection or a museum. To me, these cars should be enjoyed.
