Default 1970 GTO brake vacuum booster question

I changed the 70 a body vacuum booster and master cylinder on my power brakes front disc car it was nasty and the new gold one looks great, and the original style master from inline tube is great

I am restoring the car and the engine compartment is almost fully detailed.
i will post some pictures this weekend
the engine is not in the car

QUESTION

i threw out the booser and saved the old clevis pin and dust boot the new booster has a clevis pin and boot ( i did not measure the clevis pin and rod to put the new one in correct)
the problem is i do not know how much the push rod goes in to the clevis pin and lock nut at the actual brake pedal I want to set up the brake pedal properly
the booster installation instructions are not clear
Any help is greatly appriciated
