Hot Dog eating contest. July 4 tradition at Nathan's on Coney Island in NY. Winner, Joey Chestnut, ate 74 in 10 minutes. He was shoving at least 2 in his mouth at a time. Pretty disgusting.

So let's see... 8 hot dogs to a pound... 74 hot dogs... is 9.25 pounds of Nathan's hot dogs! Plus buns and water!

Now I like Nathan's hot dogs, they're some of the best you can buy, but damn I think 3 is my limit- and that's just if I'm really hungry!

Its been nice to watch him develop his skills after getting beat a few times by Kobayashi some years back. I remember when Kobayashi set the record at 50, and that doubled the previous record of 25. All American Craziness!

So 74 Dogs in 10 minutes.

That's 1 dog every 8.1 seconds, then you only need 16.2 seconds for a lunch break. (lol...)

Wonder if he actually digests all of that or gives it back....which could possibly set another record.
