Default U- joints

Did all the GTO's (64-72) use the 1310 u-joints? Also, can I get a u-joint that is 1350 on the driveshaft and 1310 at rear yoke? do they make such a joint?

https://www.jegs.com/i/JEGS/555/60639/10002/-1 They usually have 3R u-joints from the factory. Maybe you have a chevy differential.

When I switched to a 5speed I had my driveshaft shortened and used a 1350 yoke up front and the stock size(new) in the rear. If it breaks I assume it'll break in rear and the shaft drops out the back. Let's hope I never find out!

All original Pontiac 8.2 10 bolts & all McKinnon built 12 bolts (factory 455 usage 12 bolts) came with 3R pinion flanges & u-joints on factory driveshafts. THose were only style rears factory installed in '64-72 Tempest/LeMans/GTO's. There are adaptor ujoints out there, I prefer not to use them.
