Default Convertible top fluid leak clean up.

I know this is probably in the wrong forum but I need an answer pretty quick. I have had a small leak in the trunk of my 67 GTO that I would like to clean up before the car show this Saturday.
It is in the convertible top plumbing and, while being a small leak, over time it has spread out to cover half of the deck where the pump sits.
It is Dexron Transmission fluid and the trunk is coated with zolatone.
what would be the best way to clean it or should I just cover it with something?

Umm well the picture doesn't look so bad to me but your spelling of convertible is a little off.

Mineral sprits will do it, and follow it with with some Simple Green or something like that. If you have it, I like to use Prep Sol. That zolatone is pretty tough, so you should be fine.

IMHO, There really isn't a "QUICK" way to address this.
It's oil and has penetrated into the Spatter, it will not wipe off.
It would likely need to be stripped and repainted.
Using any type of solvent will probably make a mess out of the Spatter as well.
Press/blot it with good quality (lint-free) paper shop towel's to pull as much as possible up/out and fix it right when you have time.

DX330 , or Kleen strip wax and grease remover. Both a a quick dry time and will dilute the oil for a rag to soak up. Open the garage door.

Grease-Sweep rice hull ash will soak it up if you let it sit for a couple of days. It will draw it out of the pores as well.

Thanks for al the replies. I tried some citrus cleaner that I had and it did the trick. I think Zolatone is more like an epoxy finish than a traditional splatter paint used in trunks. It is very durable. Sadly, it is no longer available.

Oh, it is, I detest the stuff from a application point of view and I have used it many times. The Parts place sells it now, I think its $70 a quart. When it ships, if the little bubbles burst, or its shaken, then its just a mess.
