Default Aftermarket front dash speakers ac car

Looking for anybody’s experience with aftermarket dash speakers and if there are any problems with a 73 firebird ac car. I would like to run dual cone in the front dash and 6x9 speakers in the back. I would like an amplifier to power the system but no sub. Nobody’s responding in the 70-73 arena. I need to put my dash back in with all of the ductwork so speaker is first priority.

Call Screaming Chicken and get one of his kits.

I had no problem in AC car with the Rockford Fosgate set.

This is great news. I have been misled on certain things when redoing my car so looking for actual experience and usage.

Are the speakers for 4 ohm or 8/10 ohm units?

I was told because of the modifications to my factory radio and the amplifier I will be using that the ohms are not really a factor.

I bought Retro sound "look alike" radio and speakers for my 1976 Firebird. I bought the double 4" speakers for the front center and added a second 6x9 on the passenger side rear shelf. Ilike the sound.

Thanks I am saying all the suggestions. I ordered the special made ac duct from second gen engineering that supposedly gives you an extra half inch.
