I decided to list this as a separate thread since I received several emails from people who didn't know that there was a change to the front steering system on '65 full size Pontiacs.

Hope you '5 guys find this helpful.

here are the VIN break points for the early to late '65 front steering ECN (engineering change notice):

Plant P: 5P209539
Plant C: 5C128238
Plant E: 5E152663
Plant X: 5X146687
Plant R: 5R111809
Plant D: 5D114354

my source is the Moog Chassis Parts Master Catalog (03/71 rev).

cars with bodies numbered before these were built with the 'early' front suspension design.
