Default Mickey Thompson "Tempest" 2 cylinder!

Here are the pics I took of the Blown Tempest 2 cylinder!! Enjoy!





Note the brackets on the front of the head & block with one bolt holding top & bottom brackets together. This was added later in this engines developement. I never saw it on early pictures.



Blowoff valve on top of intake manifold.





1 barrel Hilborn injector.



The famous (or is it infamous) 2-71 GMC Blower.



Half an oil pan!!



Fuel pump driven off of the back of the blower.



Notice the degree wheel on the base of the mag!



Another shot!



Half a valve cover. Only 2 bolts holding it on! You can see the line on the cover where it was cut & welded back together.
Is that a 538177 head number??



Another shot of the clamp assembly on the front of the motor.





Check out those exhaust pipes!!!
