I thought this was recently covered, but I couldn't find it.

I use Meguiers Show Glaze on my garaged cars. Need a little more protection for my truck that gets exposed to all the elements.

In the old days, Raindance used to work. I use Mothers Pre-wax cleaner but find the Carnuba doesn't last long.

The Meguiers Tech wax is very good. I cant report on its durability, but it sure makes the paint on my 66 look good. The finish is so smooth, I have a hard time putting on my car cover.

I hand buffed for months to get 40+ years of oxidation off my 61 Tempest. Now, maybe twice a year, I use a product from the Wax Shop called Super Glaze. It is a liquid wax/polish. all I do the rest of the year is hose it off & dry with a towl. Its good stuff!!! Last time I wax'd the car, I sat my mug of Pepsi on a rag on the fender & it slid off & hit the floor!!! Ticked me off!!! Fresh mug of cold Pepsi with ice all over the floor. www.waxdepot.com

Just received my first shipment from zaino...havent tried it yet ..still trying to figure out the directions they leave a little to be desired...any one have any hints or tips

Yes, make sure your in good shape beofre you atempt to use that stuff. Its great stuff but a real trip to use.

Here's my tip: Buy some JaxWax and get the same results with almost no effort. They sell alotta JaxWax at car shows, so I believe that many showcars using it can't be a bad thing. Besides that who wants to spend a day doing the hood and still have the rest of the car to finish. It's used by many professional detail shops which is who it was developed for originally. Where time is money and if the results aren't great they lose customers. I know I had doubts about it til the guy setup next to our T Shirt stand at the GTOAA Nationals and he waxed my GTO with it as a demo. I was convinced after he had a 22 Y/O girl do my car and it looked better than it ever had since I owned it new. That sounds like some pretty crazy stuff! One of the photos has a sign next to it that says the car has it's 50th layer!
Is it really that good? My philosophy has always kind of been that the finish can only be as good as the paint applied and no snake oil is going to make something shine more than it physically can, or look smoother than the original texture of the paint. Guess I'm wrong again?

It definetly takes a longer period of time to remove than other waxes, but not because it's hard to work with, it needs more drying time than other waxes. I can't compare to some of the waxes that others here are speaking of since I don't have experience with most of them. Zaino say's in there instructions that the more coats that you apply, the deeper the shine, kinda like adding more coats of clear coat. In my experience I found that to be true.

What about wax for your trailer? Ours is rather large, and sits outdoors all year. We powerwash it twice a year, and clean it thoroughly by hand with either Awesome! (get it at the dollar store....works like magic on black streaks) or the more expensive stuff from the camper store, Korkay. Don't even waste our time with things from Autozone or WalMart.

However, I'd like to put a good coat of something protective over it. Don't know which direction to go, hate the black streaks and aluminum oxidation from the overhead trim.

Any suggestions?

I used some eagle-1 wax that I had in the garage on my white enclosed trailer and it seems to keep the streaking away for a longer period of time, but the black streaks are tough to eliminate permanently.

broke out the instructions and finally tried the Zaino, even though the truck is only a couple of months old it looks a lot better than when we picked it up from the dealer

I found it easy to apply and buff off, did wash clay bar and two coats of zaino in about 3 hours.
