71 Lemans Sport convt. seat belts?
Anyone have a picture of how the seat belts in the rear should be run? I had a guy work on my boot and when he put it back together I think he ran the front shoulder belts wrong. Thanks.

Hmmm... I too am interested in this. The shoulder belts were removed from my '71 'Vert when I bought it, so I'm not 100% sure how the factory installed them. Please guys, if you have any pics, post 'em, especially the install of the shoulder belts!
Thanks!

I have a '69 4-4-2 convertible with the front seat shoulder harness belts so I'll post some pictures of how it is set up. Hopefully, there wasn't much difference (if any) between '69 and '71 and Olds and Pontiac!

Thanks Randy, those mount in the same place as mine. Where do they come out of the arm rest?

Here's where it gets a bit hazy. Since taking those pictures, I stowed everything away because of other ongoing projects. I was looking for those panels to see if I could tell where those shoulder belts ran and I've got them so packed away that I can't find them. My thinking tells me they should come out up high, like between the curved piece that fits over that area and the flat piece that is fastened down in on top with screws. Hopefully someone else here can verify that or come up with exactly the way it is supposed to be. Sorry I can't help you here other than what I am thinking.

Randy, I thought they would run that way too until I put the boot on then realized that they couldn't.

I was just thinking the shoulder belts would have to be up high to be useful as a shoulder belt. Wherever they come out, they shouldn't interfere with anyone sitting in the back seat. I'm hoping someone has the picture they can show to all of us!
