The story is complete BS. ESPN doesn't like the Pats. They talk sh!t about them any chance they get. They were one of the major forces pushing the BS "Deflategate" story. I don't put much credence in anything they say about the Pats.

Jeremy,

You have to admit the whole trainer thing was weird. I saw a rumor today Belichek was leaving. I say if they win together again, that could happen, he or they might retire or go somewhere warm and coach.

The reality is that they are all getting old. They aren't going to keep going forever. Brady is going to start showing his age one of these days. Belichick has been coaching the Pats since 2000. So, yes, the "dream team" isn't going to last forever. The ESPN story is just sh!t stirring, though.

Happens every year. Pats kick ass, media creates stories to try and disrupt everything, Pats win Superbowl.

Everything is going according to plan.

The PI in the first half was a bad call. I don't like the rule that resulted in the flag on the hit to Gronk but no argument with the call. I thought the late PI call was suspect. But every game has those calls, I think the Jags could have won anyway. My group thought the fumble should have been reversed and only stood cause the Jags got the call in the first place.

But I thought this pic was funny, not sour grapes. Only posting as humor. I believe the Jags showed they have a quality team. They silenced a lot of critics. And I don't know if Gillette is normally that quiet, but I was pretty convinced a lot of Pats fans had reason to think they were going down today, they were pretty quiet once the Jags went ahead and stayed that way til the Jags final misfire.

There was a lot of time during this game where it could have gone another way and half time looked bleak. But like I said earlier in this thread, the Pats play the whole game and where other teams may wear down and their play may fall off with injuries and energy, the Pats play on. Down by 7 in the 4th with your top receiver in the locker room, Brady will still pull it out.

Fantastic game. Love those Jaguars they really have a lot going for them. But separate the noise on the internet and all you have left is a team that won a good game. It sure looked at one point like it may have gone either way. It got quiet there for a while, too. But Brady pulled it together again. Always a pleasure to see the come from behind win.

Yeah, that's it, "fake news". Hate to admit that there are cracks in the foundation?

My "unfake" thoughts...
If Belichick quits, I think he's done. Don't know him, he seems like maybe he wouldn't give a crap about starting over somewhere, dealing with all the drama. I try to plan my life stuff ahead as much as possible. I woulda been unhappy about having to trade my next inline QB. He seemed like a darn good candidate! I've seen Bill with his girlfriend, I could hang with her!

Not sure how Mr. Kraft operates. Most folks with mega $$$, do as they darn well please. IF, IF I owned a pro football team, such as this, with it's successes, mainly because of ONE man, I'd be close to him, and do things as he wishes. There's been some hiccups, maybe this is just another(Jeremy...). I sure wouldn't play the power game with the man that has devoted his life to making me look like a genius...

There's a saying, "It ain't bragg'n, if you can back it up. That's where Tom Terrific stands at this exact moment. He could have a bad game in 2 weeks, who knows. One of these days he could get sacked, and NOT bounce back to his feet so quickly, feeling older than his advanced pro football age. Crap what if he does get knocked out of, say the last half of a game? Is Brian Hoyer going to rescue the team, and win the game........not real likely. Brian IS likely getting re-educated in the art of playing properly for a great team, he's been streaky, but the teams he's played for generally were not up to the task of playing worth a hoot, anyhow..

Yee Ha!

Can’t take much away from them as a team- but I expected Bill and Tom to retire together. Then you never know if one could do it without the other.

I am sure that all teams do things that bend the rules.... but the Pats get caught much more than others which assumes they do it more than others. And like was said earlier they didn’t need the advantage- they are that good.
Another guy who doesn't read.

Covering up? Seriously? You've said a lot of stupid, crazy things in the 2 months you've been on this board, but that has to rank in the top 5!

I'll share an excerpt from the link that I know you won't agree with...

Quote:
SUMMARY: After the release of Tom Brady's appeal transcript on August 4, 2015 and Judge Berman's ruling on September 3, 2015, it became clear that the NFL simply lied, twisted, misrepresented and leveraged its profound ignorance to try to smear the reputation of one of its all-time great players for a yet-undisclosed reason. There is no evidence of cheating by Brady or the Patriots. There is, however, numerous examples of disgusting behavior by Goodell and the league office.

When you stand that tall on that high of a pedestal, you need to expect that there will be some who will take shots. Brady & Belichek together & separately hold just about every record in football at the moment and continue to raise the bar on many of them - you have to expect there will be some who will take their best shots at them.

In the perfect world, they would stand there after accepting the Superbowl trophy and resign together.

People couldn't take shots, without ammunition. And stories like these provide plenty of it.
