Can't say for your place Forrest but here I would say not under 60K, but it is a small market for it.
Easier if you are willing to work with the buyer regarding receipts and so on ![]() |

Not sure if the 70 HO verts are getting 70K?
Personally, I would prefer a 71 HO vert 4 speed as it is a real roundport for that money.

To bad, you could have provided some much needed info like how many you found with 455, RA and Convertible and what they are selling for. How many was it, bty? ![]() Selling a non numbers car a year from now is like playing Russian Roulette. $40-low $50s wouldnt surprise me OR worse, depends on what happens to the US DOLLAR like some leading economists are predicting Wasnt there a yellow one recently vert RA that sold? I saw that car years ago for sale by original owner out West lady owned. SCOTT will know, I bet/ |

I turned down double those amounts back in 2007 for my 455 ram air conv.. but still not as bad as some of the home price drops around the country.

I knew this question would pop up! Some where the figures showed up when I did that last convert. 455 ram air car, it was an auto and I think I saw around 17 for the autos and less than 5 for the sticks.... maybe I'm wrong or the info I got was wrong...in any event, it is a rare find..

Mr. Ransom is always helpful on these things. My HDTP is a 455 HO RA A/C 4-spd. Not many produced, but more than convertibles. It's the A/C that sets mine apart.

Total 455/manual GTO built in '70 was 1919.
Total 455 w/RA GTO built in '70 was 543 (302 manual/241 auto). Total 455/manual GTO convertibles built were 158. There were 91 455/manual w/RA GTOs built at the Pontiac plant in '70. There were 94 455/manual convertibles built at the Pontiac plant in '70. How many were both ??? |

However, am I the only one who doesn't think ram air adds that much to the value of the car? It's an accessory, much like what you see in a lot of 1968 GTO road tests in the magazines. It's not a "true" Ram Air motor. Going off the top of my head, about 1/6 of 455 cars had ram air. |
