Detailed photos of brake/fuel line routing and clips?
Anyone have pics of how the fuel, fuel return, and brake line run down the frame rail? Mine were cut when I got it, and I want to make sure I get it right.
Also, I didn't get a good photo of the last clip that is used on the rear brake line. You can just see the bolt head sticking up in the photo to see what one I'm talking about.

I "think" it is Fuel on top, Brake line on the bottom, and the return line uses the s shaped clips to clip to the fuel line. I cannot find a good picture, sorry.

The clips that get pushed through the holes are kinda confusing. I don't think there's any way the 3/8" line could go in there, but the return line could easily. Darn it, just put a big order in through inline tube and forgot to order my return line.

They do. Shove really hard and they snap right in. Webfoot, I did the same thing, forgot my return line. I also forgot to order the fuel line clips. I wish I had better pics.....maybe I can get some this weekend.....

here are pictures of the brake/gas line routing on the frame. This is a 68 GTO HT.

Here are the last two pictures. I just got done with my frame, replaced all the lines including parking brake with stainless, re-did the suspension and added front disk brakes. I can furnish you with pictures of the completed frame showing all the new lines & clips if you need them. I am going to add the engine, trans and exhaust hopefully next week and then drop the body back on. If you like I can email direct to you as the picture files get rather large and could then zip them. Just send me a PM.
Do you have a stock engine in your GTO? I am trying to get some picture of what it looks like as to what brackets go where. Also, where the head bolts go that have studs on the ends. I have stock A/C that I am trying to add back on and not sure I have all the brackets. Regards, Bob |

I forgot one last thing. I bolt head sticking up in your photo is holding on the exhaust pipe bracket (one on each side). I indicted that in my pictures of the inside rear of the frame.

bobbob21, thank you very much! Those pics are extremely helpful. I would've been hunting down a bolt-in clip for some time as I never considered the exhaust hangers.
There was a recent thread where somebody was asking about the same studded head bolts, I believe somebody said it was the 1st and 4th head bolt, I'll see if I can find it and post here. Here it is, (hey, it was you asking!) If you look at that first pic posted on the left, you can see both studded bolt heads. The first which is in the very left hand part of the photo, almost on the border. It holds the ground cable on. http://forums.maxperformanceinc.com/...ight=head+stud

The lines all run on the driver side of the car. There are 5 clips that snap into the frame and the brake line snaps into the clip in the bottom spot and the fuel line snaps into the upper par of the clip. The fuel return line is clipped to the main fuel line and only clamped to the frame at the rear crossmember.

Can anyone tell me what type of clips these are that attach the crossover brake line to the frame? I can't tell from the pics if they are P-clips or R-clips, and I would assume these are either cad plated or zinc in color unless someone else might be able to tell if they are a painted color.
