I've never used any of the one piece formed gaskets. Tried to once but it was broken in shipping. Interesting that if you look at the review on the Summit link one of those folks had theirs arrived in less than desirable condition.

Instead of using "special" gaskets I've been using Felpro stock oil pan gaskets but make my own custom gasket for across the rear main cap. Since I started doing that deal haven't had the first drop of oil leak from one of these engines around the oil pan. I purchase the material in a large sheet and cut the gasket to fit with a razor knife. It's not fussy and I make them wide enough so they can't slip or have any direction to go and "squeeze" out when you tighten the pan down..........

Thanks for the write up and pics Cliff. I too have a sheet of cork gasket that I bought and used on other engines. I actually used the BOP gasket on our IA2 and it's been very well sealed. I did make a spacer for the front of the oil pan out of metal which filled the void nicely. So far so good. No oil leaks. I kinda wondering on price difference on what appears to be the same gaskets that I posted. Thanks

All of the one-piece oil pan gaskets listed are the BOP One-Piece Oil Pan Gasket. The ones Summit sells are repackaged and branded by SCE. They shrink wrap to cardboard and have had issues tearing the back of the gasket. We have made them aware of the situation. We also sell direct cheaper than either of these sources. www.bopengineering.com

Looks like $59.99 through BOP, compared to $135.99 from Summit, more than 50% cheaper from Wade. Butler marks it up $5, to $64.95.
