We had perfect weather today ,mid 50's,low humidity and bright sunshine to warm up the track. My best run was [email protected] with a 1.84 short time.Of course now I want to get to the low 12's,but that will require headers and an electric fuel pump. Now shes off to be painted ,hopefully she wont be in body shop jail too long. Thanks for the help along the way.

Bummer...the carb itself has a vacuum leak? That's wierd. Oh well...great runs anyways!

I hope to get to the track this spring with my new intake set-up and some sticky tires and see if I can't get into the lower 12's.

hey Im a senior member now.I wish I could 60 in the 1.7 range!I pulled a 1.80 last night then the track went to crap and couldnt hook the rest of the night.I would pay a few more $ if they would prep the damn track a few times a night!I did improve to [email protected] I think I could of hit 12.7 if I hooked later in the night.

Hey Jeff,Ive been using a Holley 770 street avenger lately,My QJ developed a vacuum leak and also I was running dry at the top of 1st gear,Im not ready to go electric fuel pump yet so I thought I would give a Holley a try.It doesnt have the throttle crispness or economy of the QJ but it works pretty good.Ill probably have Cliff build me an 800 QJ next year after I get the paint and body done, for now Im pretty happy with my performance.

I really need to figure out how to do a signature! Its a 1970 Lemans convertable,462 with 6x-4 heads,234/242 crane cam 1.6 roller rockers, performer intake with two 3/4" wood spacers, holley 770 street avenger or 750 QJ(runs the same et with either)carter mechanical fuel pump.Ram air 2.5 manifolds,pypes2.5 exhaust with x pipe.Turbo 350 tranny on the column with continental 10" conv.,3.42 posi,BMR control arms ,QA1 front shocks,Summit rears and M/T 275/60/15 drag radials.Im still working on my 60 foot times I havent played with the shocks or launch rpm since it finally started hooking.Keep playing with it when you get back ,the times will come.My first time out with this combo I think I ran 14.0!Thanks for the reply.

Thanks guys,Ive had a lot of fun working my way down and met some good guys at the track.I dont know how many hours I spent on the forum researching.
Darby its a tight 3200 stall,it really boils the street tires. The last two times Ive driven to the track on my M/T drag radials and it wont even break them loose now that the suspension is working.these are some awsome tires!
