1967 GTO Hardtop, I believe it has original engine 400, TH400 Automatic with HUrst Dual Gate Shifter. According to PHS it did NOT come with the hood tach or Rally Wheels, they must have been added by a previous owner. HAs Power steering and brakes.I have aquired some NOS Grill Surrounds and will be painting the Rally Wheels the correct way to make the outward appearnce correct (except for the color, was Signet Gold from the factory. I have already replaced aftermarket radio with correct Pontiac AM radio.
This board has been a tremendous help Bob Johnson

I want one, pretty please. Will your wife marry me too? Ah come on, I will wait until 45, this August.

Color is called Magenta Mica, the previous owner obviously spent alot of money on the paint job because it is incredible. They also spent alot of time aligning the panels and front end parts as the gaps are all very near perfect.!
Thanks for the comments!

Bob,
Very nice combination. The hood tach and Rally wheels are highly desirable options and really provide a nice finishing touch on the '67. Do you know what color red that is? It looks awesome on your car and looks a couple shades darker than Regimental Red. P.S. Don't listen to Brian Baker , red GTOs are way cool! http://kurtspontiac.homestead.com/TimSimpson66GTO.html |

Actually all my wife did was give me "permission" to find and purchase the car that I have always wanted. 1967 GTO. IT was not purchased at Volo. It took me about 4 months to find the right one. THis one was actually found on e-bay. An auction that did not meet the reserve but I ended up going to see the car in Pennsylvania after the auction and made a deal with the guy. Originally, I wanted a 4 speed but everything else on this car was so nice that I went with it anyway. The car has been a blast, I have spent the winter restoring the dash, installing a correct radio, recovering front seats, replacing grill surrounds and correctly painting the Rally II wheels. My 4 year old son thinks it is his car!
Again, this board has been fantastic for help with all of the projects! Thanks Bob Johnson
