Many of you have expressed a need to upgrade your exhaust system but didn't want to spend the extra $350 + installation for the RA/HO manifolds or headers. We have just completed these sample downpipes for standard manifold cars. As you can see they include the correct flanges. Notice that the pipe is 2 1/2" but is downsized for a couple of inches to allow for the flange to fit. After the flange is installed, the pipe is flared for attachment to the standard exhaust manifold.
We are looking for a GTO owner to test a pair of these downpipes for fit. If you are able to immediately install a complete system and can report feedback and digital pictures, please contact us for a special arrangement. $$ --------------------------- Fool around, Get hurt, don't come crying to me.

The front View!
Usually I'm found working on my Pontiac. If you want to find me Look for the white picket fence and all the old Pontiacs parked outside. And the half dissembled engine sprawled all over the driveway!

Isn't that X pipe restrictive like a Y pipe on a single exhaust?
I guess I just don't understand exhaust dynamics. I'd like a long branch 2-1/2"system without the X in 304 Stainless. |

Nice pipes! I've been considering 3" mufflers and tail pipes for my '76. Not sure about ground clearance with the large mufflers though.
Pittsburgh, Jim and Tom Hand have done some extensive exhaust system testing. Not only have they tested mufflers but they also tested crossovers. Check http://www.boyleworks.com/ta400/psp/exhaust.html for the complete run down. The X is unlike a Y in that the X branches back out into two separate pipes where the Y necks into a single pipe. |

Very nice job on the pipes. But based on the comments on the TA 2 1/2 splitter pipes,to 2 1/4, I am sure someone will discuss the reduction in size to meet the manifold. Keep the new parts coming.

Can you post pics from directly underneath each manifold? I need to see how they drop off the motor and travel back towards the tranny.

Hey Chris, Les Chase and I talked about this last weekend. He had his '66 Conv chasis at the SDPOCI Show with your exhaust and his "test" pipes. Looks great. Keep it up!
