As you know im having my 79 trans am painted. I was wondering if anybody knew what the measurements for the placements of decals are. The hood bird i know but what about the fender tags, rear spoiler tag, shaker engine ID, the sail birds and the nose sticker that says trans am by pontiac? anybody know where i could get this information or could somebody get the measurements. Thanks for any help

i got the pages out of the manual e-mailed to me allready. Thanks though. But there is one thing you can help me with. Do you know if the measurements are in inches? Thanks

It doesn't say inches but I would assume that's what it refers to because I don't think centimeters or millimeters would work with the numbers given .

You'll find these measurements in the GM 1979 Pontiac Service Supplement Manual.

Jon, if you still need the measurements try looking over at TAC and do a search in the Tech or Restoration sections--I think they had pics with the measurements listed.

I don't know of a good source for the manuals. Are you still looking for the info? If so, I can get ahold of the manual and email you copies of the pages if you want.

Hey John. HPP had a complete pictured breakdown on decal placement a couple of years ago with measurements. I'll see if I can find it and let you know wich issue.
