Any suggestions for ingnition wires?
74 "455y" HEI with an Accel Super coil? What should I look for??? So many brands, so many types it makes your head spin  I'd like to get a set "ready" to go out of the box. Thanks Chris

I run Taylors. Like ALL brands there is not a good fit however with their off the shelf product. Your best fit will be to make your own or shorten an existing set. I paid $13 dollars for a crimping tool and shortened my wires and am well pleased. 6 wires required shortening, from 1 inch to 8 inches and 2 wires were fine. I was even able to reuse all existing boots and metal ends. Doing like I did or making your own wires gives you the ability to run them like you want, where you want, with the ends you want, in the color you want.

I bought the MSD Super Conductor wires in make-your-own kit form. I was able to use some of the shorter leads in the kit for long leads like #1 & #2 on the Pontiac. By carefully measuring all of them first, & using one MSD lead to make two short leads etc, I ended up having two or three leads left over as spares.

Ive used MSD and Accel wires and never saw ANY difference between the 2, except for the lightness in my wallet with the MSD's. Mind you, I don't have a super high RPM or output igition, just a Accel Super Coil coil with a good modual. I am running MSD's new blue set now just because the color matches my engine scheme better.
Ohh, ys, and I allways get the make your own. Start with your longest run, and use the shortest wire that will work with each run. You'll be suprised how short you can get some of them. The shorter the better, but don't sacrafice routing them where there nice for shortness

I have been using Jacobs universal wires for the last 7 years. They are a breeze to set up. Much easier than the taylor wires. I used to run taylor but after having some problems i switched to Jacobs. No problems since.
