Just wanted to see who is going to make it to the NSCA race at Cecil County Dragway on June11-12?

I'll be there racing, maybe we can pit all together?

Doh! I misunderstood. I don't think they'll nail you for not having it covered.

Bill Weyrich and I are talking about coming up. OPDS has a race at M-D on that Sunday, so we may only be up for Saturday. If I had my druthers, I'd come up for both days and camp out at a local hotel.

I enjoyed it to Jack..You did good. I wasn't happy about going Red on first round. My car did great. Ran 12.0? something all the time on a 12.00 index..and I go and Red Lit first round.. It was still a blast though. We need some more Pontiacs around. It was great seeing Bruce,Mike,L'll Jack & Herb showing up with their Pontiacs....

Lil Jack #8/10 in Nostalgia Pro Street

Mike #6/17 in Nostalgia Super Stock
Herb #11/22 in American Muscle car
Had to lift on the #3 qualifier to make sure I didn't get stuck in the back of the field. #1 qualifier, I ran 10.997 on 11.00 index and #2 qualifier I ran 10.991.
Full results here:

Herb,

When I ran N/MC (A/M) a few years ago, a few times they never asked me to open the hood. I had a few thing that were questionable, but tech seemed more lax than strick. As a matter of fact, a friend ran his car that was not close to the class he wanted to run, but they let him run as a one time only deal. Not sure how it is now, but I'm sure Mike has better insight as he stated above.

That's where I will be Brian.. might hang at track a while after race and then crash at motel Saturday night... I won't make the OPDS race. Case of druthers....I think some guys are arriving Friday night but I don't think I will..CYA

7DMach1....Thanks for being the judge. I was pleased to win "Best racecar" in the show. Not sure what classes there were or how it was judged but it's better to go home with something in your hand than empty handed. Any show results or pics going to be listed on the Cecil website? Just curious who else won something.

Bill, I'm not really much of a "car show" guy, but yours is one of the baddest looking hot rods I've seen in a while. I can't wait to see it blast down the 1/4 mile.

Bud,
I went out first round, losing by .0118 (MOV), just couldn't catch the slower car. I had a .040 reaction to his .049, ran 11.079 to his 12.059, but it wasn't enough . All the regular NSCA in AM racers went out early, I believe it ended up being a local (MD) final.
Mike went red in the second round to Charlie Fishback, who he beat the day before when Charlie lit the red bulb to give Mike the Class runoff win. First time in 2 years Mike has gone red in eliminations.
Bruce did the Pontiac crowd good again with his win in RS, nice job Bruce!
Lil Jack did an awesome job running a 8.69/156 w/100 less CID and weighing 600# more than most of the class. Way to go Jack, can't wait to see that performance with better air
Troy, locked down the #3 spot in NSS and was on the # all weekend, good job Troy.
A lot of the Pontiac faithful were in attendance as well. Including Scott Rex, Bob and Frank from AllPontiacs, Jim Zeek and his daughter, Don Benner, Bill Bolin, Russ White, Brian Baker and Bill Weyrich (OPDS racers).
Had a good time, glad Mike/Ken kept on me about coming to race and I will be back again. By the way, it was HOT!!! you can cook a steak on my forehead, I am fried, LOL! I will be spectating in 2 weeks @ Milan, MI, as I will be in Milan working that weekend. No time to race with my work schedule, so the car will have to stay home.

Thanks,
Herb

Herb- they will probably overlook the carpet part but the fenderwells are pretty much a must in every class. The payouts are good esp when you add the contingency money in.
