I'm interested in the pontiac genuine accessory door egde guards for my 1965 gto. I've recently seen two new old stock sets both in their original packages on ebay but each having a different part number. One had a part #9775827 and the other #984291. They both had group #10.352 and series #2027,2127,2167,2227 & 2267. Since nos sets go for a couple hundred dollars I need to know the correct part number before I bid or purchase elsewhere. Are the above numbers both correct with one of them a revised part? I appreciate any help. Thankyou. Ron

291 is correct for GTO. 9775827 does not show up and previously stated.

Ron, did find a 984292 for a 64 -65 T/6-T/8 4-door. Also a 984382 for P8 4-door which is also close. Hopefully someone knows if the "291" would be for a 2-door. The other 9775827 couldn't be found.

Not sure on 64-65, but the body manual should have trim part numbers listed.

Ron, the best thing you should do is buy a parts manual. I purchased a reprint from Lloyds Auto Literature a few years back. The cost was about $125.00 plus shipping and I have saved so much money not buying the wrong part this manual has more than paid for itself.

Had that problem on my chevelle ss, almost bought the wrong bumper brackets. I had just purchased the parts manual & checked the #'s. The book paid for itself the first time I used it! I'm trying to find the Pontiac master parts book now for that reason. Dave K.
