Does anyone out there have the option of the open exhaust with the cable and knob ? What was it called and what did the knob say?

I have a Pepper Green 70 parts car with VOE and on the bracket that holds the pull cable there is a decal that says Exhaust Mode. The bracket is the same as a Ram Air unit. Unfortunately, all that remains of the VOE setup is the bracket and decal.

Can someone tell me in detail all of the parts that make up the entire VOE package?
before I get back with Tom Hand I need to know if all parts are available

Didn't Smoke Signals just do an article on this by the Hands?
They have the complete exhaust re-done?

Two friends of mine have these cars, one was recently found and neither the buyer nor the seller knew what that knob under the dash was for, until someone explained it to the buyer. Seller still has no clue as to what he had. Mufflers are presently being redone in stainless..@ $500 a pop!

Also, this car is a standard GTO and not a Judge.

I have an original bracket with the decal on it. I am pretty certain that it just says "exhaust". I will have to locate it and take a photo.

Correct me if I am wrong but it is my understanding that the VOE was only available on the base model GTO 350HP 400, and you could NOT get a factory VOE on a RAM AIR car, that would mean no "Judges" should have had VOE. Just thought I would mention that as this in the Judge tech forum and could be confusing for people.

So does that mean the 455 HO non Ram Air could not have it?

Wasn't VOE commonly referred to as the tiger button?

Can someone provide a photo of the sticker on the cable bracket for the VOE? I am installing electric cutouts on my 69 and want to have the switch silkscreened with a replica logo.

Thanks, John

I am not aware of Smoke Signals. If anyone knows of reproduction equipment available, please let me know. I know the "Ram Air" dash bracket is used, but what about everything else?
